Variation
The model looks at the design, the spec, the repo, and the program, and is allowed to say it would have done this differently. Isolation in a new repo is so new structure is not crushed by a mature parent.
Selection
The island is the evals on aidd. Hard gates, fitness, teeth, held-out. A niche win can sit in the archive without replacing public. Copy-back is a separate, signed event.
